How do I 'Pause' my live TV program on my Stream+? How to Install storage device.(CM-7600)

You can 'pause' a live TV program, but you must first install a storage device. You can find the recommended storage devices here Note; We highly recommend External Hard Drives!

Installing an External Hard Drive (EHD) to your Stream+,1TB EHD's are recommended;

  1. Turn on your Stream+ and watch a live TV program.
  2. Connect your EHD to the USB port on the back of the Stream+.
  3. Within a few seconds, you should see a screen that says "USB Drive Connected".
    1. Highlight "Set up as OTA DVR Storage", and select/press OK.
    2. FYI. OTA is 'Over The Air' antenna TV signals.
  4. The next screen is "Format as OTA DVR Storage".
    1. Highlight "Format" and select it. 
  5. Next you will see a screen "Formatting USB drive...". This may take a moment.
  6. Next screen will be "Moving Data to xxxx USB drive.(xxxx=the name of your storage device.)
    1. You will briefly see "xxxx USB Drive is formatted"
    2. Then very briefly, you'll see "Migrated data to USB drive"

At this point, your storage is formatted and installed.

  1. Now, press the 'Guide' button and begin to watch a live program.
  2. Press the ">ll" (play Pause) button and the program should freeze and a blue control banner will appear across the bottom of the screen. 'l<, <<, >, >>, >l, and a white ball.
  3. To re-start the program, press the same ">ll" button. 
  4. The blue banner should disappear in approximately 8 seconds.
    1. You can remove it from the screen sooner by pressing the "BACK" button on the remote. 

Installing a Micro SD Card  to your Stream+. You can find the recommended storage devices hereNote; We highly recommend External Hard Drives!

  1. Turn on your Stream+ and watch a live TV program.
  2. Insert your 64GB to 128GB Speed Class 'U3' Micro SD Card to the Micro SD slot on the right/rear side of the Stream+.
    1. Note; The side of the SD Card with the name and spec's, is the top. 
      1. The thinner end goes in first.
      2. The end with the raised surface is the end that faces out of the slot.
  3. Within a few seconds, you should see a screen that says "SD Card Connected".
    1. Highlight "Set up as OTA DVR Storage", and select/press OK.
    2. FYI. OTA is 'Over The Air' antenna TV signals.
  4. The next screen is "Format as OTA DVR Storage".
    1. Highlight "Format" and select it. 
  5. Next you will see a screen "Formatting SD Card...". This may take a moment.
  6. Next screen will be "Moving Data to xxxx SD Card...(xxxx=the name of your storage device.)
    1. You will briefly see "xxxx SD Card is formatted"
    2. Then very briefly, you'll see "Migrated data to xxxx SD Card"

At this point, your storage is formatted and installed.

  1. Now, press the 'Guide' button and begin to watch a live program.

    1. You can remove the 'control banner' from the screen sooner by pressing the "BACK" button on the remote. 

What do the 'blue control banner' icons represent? Press the <<, >l, or >> buttons on the remote control to bring up the 'blue control banner'.

  1. "l<" will 'Rewind' to the beginning of that program immediately. 
  2. "<<" will 'Rewind' the program at X2, X3, X4, or X5 speeds.
  3. ">"  is 'Play'.
  4. "ll"  is 'Pause' 
  5. ">>"  will 'Fast Forward' the program at X2, X3, X4, or X5 speeds.
  6. ">l"  will 'Fast Forward' to the 'Live Program', or end of a recorded program, immediately. 
  7. "O" is the 'Record' ball/button. 
    1. When the 'blue control banner' is on screen, you can navigate to the right and the white ball turns red. 
    2. After it turns red, press the OK button on the remote control to start the recording.
