Low Battery Symptoms for the original DVR+ (CM-7500) Thin/Flat Remote Control (CM-7500XRC)

When you are experiencing issues with the first generation remote control (thin/flat version) check these symptoms first. You may simply need to replace the batteries. 

1. After the remote has not been used for some amount of time, you press a DVR+ button and you get no response. 
a. The red light under the DVR+ power button on the remote is very low.
b. IF you press the power button a number of times the red light will now shine brightly and the DVR+ will power up.
c. If you press and hold down a DVR button, after a few seconds the light will shine brightly and the remote will operate normally again. 
2. After the remote has not been use for some amount of time, you press a DVR+ button and you get no response. 
a. you remove the batteries and reinsert them. Now the remote operates normally.
3. After the remote has not been use for some amount of time, you press a DVR+ button and you get no response. 
a. You measure the batteries out of the remote. Even if they measure over 3 volts, this is not a good test. They must be tested under load.
b. Replace with good quality CR2032 batteries like Duracell or Energizer.
c. Now the remote operates normally.
4. After the remote has not been use for some amount of time, you press a DVR+ button and you get no response. 
a. You press the TV power button and that does operate your TV.
b. Replace the batteries. Now the remote operates normally.
